Had the dealership swap out the leaking reman unit that was put in there 3 months ago. Call me crazy, but this new reman unit performs far different. Shockingly so. With the previous reman, it seemed to function normally, you could hear it grump at a full lock turn, but nothing that seemed out of the ordinary. With this new reman unit, I can literally turn the wheel with my fingertip. It felt like the box wasn't hooked up at first! Not only that, but it's dead silent. ZERO noise.

Maybe I just got a crappy reman the first time around? I just can't get over how much less effort it takes to move.

Both the Jeep and the Hummer trace their roots to military vehicles, where function dictates form, and to the same company. Jeep's former owner American Motors created AM General in 1971 to build military vehicles, and eventually the Humvee truck.

It's a Custom Drop down that myself and a local shop (Perkins Performance) designed (Mostly him) and made.

We used the base that he had, and made it a bit different. http://www.perkinsperformance.com/ph...3-a6fc40ada4e0
