I highly doubt the Cobalt would have ever hit 180mph. Sorry. I know my stuff when it comes to fast street cars.

Since we're all talking about going fast in stuff other than a WJ... There's nothing on four wheels that can compare to a bike. 100% street friendly tune and I can still do 9.8 @ 139 in the 1/4

Yeah but super scary to be on a bike with all the much larger vehicles on the roads. I stick to offroad. I had a 06 CRF 450R which was 60 hp and only 215 lbs so about the same power to weight as a 600 CC sport bike which is approx 110 HP 380 lbs. Did 97 MPH before running out of gear but 97 MPH is pretty scary offroad I have to say (Me and my buddy were racing. He had a 660 raptor. I pulled him badly to say the least).

Well It did go that fast so no argument there. I get nothing but people saying oh it could not go that fast and all. The 2008-2010 Cobalt SS/TC did 158 MPH stock (electronically limited). Several car magazines (C&D, R&T, MT) all verified this top speed and it was only 240 whp 250 wrtq stock. So let me get this strait, You do not think adding 100 whp and 160 wrtq to a 2900 lb car would increase its top speed by 22 MPH being that it was not RPM limited in the first place? Well I guess by that logic your 450 whp Camaro went only 160 MPH right?

I would never take my WJ over 100 mph since my tires are only rated for that.

My 02 WJ has seen 120mph and it didn't take long to get there...
I'd like to at least max out the speedo just once to say I did it, but not before I upgrade my suspension and get the Addco rear sway bar.
I have V-Rated tires and this Jeep hardly sees any off road driving.

Thoses speeds are 4 our other toys haha
Well said. I may have had it up to 85 a couple of times, but speeds exceeding 100 MPH are not what jeeps are made for.

Changed the oil, fuel filter and made adjustments to the intake system. Didnt think I could make the WJ run any smoother then she already did, but hey Ive been wrong before!

No need for a long straight away. My 4.7 low output with just a airaid jr and kolak 3in hauls and Im pretty sure I could hit the speed limiter in no time. The 4.7l is no joke when the hammer goes down. Lets just say I floored it once before the mods and once after and I wont be doing that again as jeeps were not meant to go fast. But knowing I have that power does make me all giddy inside.

I think they were made for that, otherwise they would have been limited to a sloeer speed and would have perhaps been equipped with a 3 speed tranny...
