4.0L 4x4 WJ =~4100 lbs. 4x4 XJ = ~3700 lbs so about a 400 lb difference. An XJ and a TJ weigh about the same at ~3700 lbs + or minus 100 lbs depending on motor and options.

Installed my new stock style hood to replace my swiss cheese hood. It fit perfectly just used the marks where the stock hood was and it fits the same as the stock hood which is good. Also it is a good 15 lbs lighter than the stock hood which to me is a plus. Also did my first round of wet sanding. One more round of wet sanding left before I start painting it.

Where did you get the replacement hood? I'm in the market to replace my "swiss cheese hood".

Ebay. Got it for $162 shipped and it is brand new piece not used. It is an imported hood from Taiwan but seems like decent quality, it fit perfectly and it is about 15 lbs lighter than the stocker which I like.

I can see the H.O getting up there with a long enough straight away. I save anything over 110 for the 06" E500 Mercedes and the BMW's haha

I'm not saying do 140 in your Jeep but it can't hurt to be able to.

My 08 Cobalt SS turbo did 180 MPH top speed (No I did not go that fast on the street). I did trap 118 MPH in the quarter mile with it as well. Stock turbo with some bolt ons and a super aggressive tune at 25 psi 12.8 A/F and 17* of timing (342 whp 410 wrtq 2900 lbs) Makes my 4.7 WJ seem like a slug LOL.
