picked my wj up from the dealer, was there for a week. had $1700 in repairs done...i only paid $100 of that, thanks to my warranty. but still needs other repairs that the warranty doesn't cover, including offset upper ball joints, which i hear is a very expensive repair. the dealer quoted it at $900!

it's the labor not the parts. if you got another one to drive you can do it your self.

What all did you have done? We can work on your **** on the weekend if you need. But yeah, if its under warranty, get it done. Otherwise, do it yourself. If you can

Fixed:
oil pain gasket, rear main crankshaft seal & valve cover gasket (was leaking oil)
both engine mounts replaced
control arm bushings

they included a free alignment, but it still pulls cause it needs those ball joints

anyone know the parts cost for the offset ball joints?

Did the rear diff fluid today to match the front from yesterday. This was the first fluid change since I bought it and it's heartening to see the PO must have taken care of it - gears looked pristine, oil came out ambery-clear (and went in purple!). Here's to many more miles.
