Had a shop weld in my exhuast today. full kit; magnaflow cat, 50 series flowmaster, and magnaflow tip, alos pipeing. let me tell you, it sounds sweet!!!!!! whole system was puchased from kolak. honestly, hands down, the greatest customer service youll find. i called him for an exhuast one day, next day a lift, remebered me and changed my exhuast from 70 series to 50 because of the lift i got 70 was to big. most other shops i know wont do that. anyway for those of you who like the roar when taking off and quiet on the highway, go with a 50 series and dont look back.

You do realize that once you install your clayton rear long arms, you will have to remove that entire system.

See how little room there is between the last catalytic converter and the rear LCA/UCA frame side mount? That is what prevents you from running a full size muffler - hence that tiny thing I have mounted up there. Secondly the path of the long arms will most likely prevent you from running the OEM exhaust route.

I've got a flowmaster 40 and magnaflow cat wedged up in there such that the muffler body ends ~.5" shy of the clayton's bracket. The bit about probably not being able to run OEM tail pipe is true though. I've got a flange on my tail pipe that allows me to swap out the tailpipe for a turn down. Tail pipe for DD, turn down for on the trail. Worked for me so far.

Got to finally drive the limited i bought for 1k (for the wife) today. Everything ran smooth no noises or rattles in the driveline (besides the slight piston slap.) So looks like next week or so ill be swapping its f&r diffs for the ones in my laredo. Finally a D44a also changed the oil with a can of engine restore (to try and help that engine rattle,) changed the hood lift struts, replaced the p/r tail light, and sanded and buffed the fadded lens on the d/f.

Had a relative start and run it, cant wait to go drive it in 3 or 4 days and get all my mods done. Damn once I get a job I REALLY want that Zone 4" kit.

Only thing Im thinking is my 450 highway drive to/from school 8 times a year (2x a year with a Jeep full to the brim with stuff)... with an i6 WJ... lifted 4"... running on 32's.... with 3.55 gearing. The end result just seems like it would be a disaster

my I6 3" lifted with31 inch Coop Disc STT's dropped my normal end of tank average from 14.5 to 11.5.

If i'm really easy at 60mph i can get almost 15mpg on the autobahn. it gets much much worse at higher speeds.

Thats not very convincing the WJ does 21mpg on the highway @ 65mph right now. I could settle for 17 or 16 but with an extra inch of lift and tire I'm probably going to put myself around 12 at a normal pace (65)

i still get 22mpg if i'm about 2.5 car lengths off a semi on the autobahn at 60 and somewhere around 25+mpg at 1 car length. I do not suggest this. the big rigs on the autobahn dont seem to mind but it doesnt mean it's safe.
