Aliright, but mind you, I'm not dropping $210 on a DieHard Platinum. It would be a "Gold" if anything ($110-$120). I actually scoured JF for opinions on batteries for an hour or two before making that post. Basically, it was a tossup between DieHard Gold, with 700CCA and a 36 month full/100 month limited warranty and an Interstate MTP with 800CCA and 85 months. The DieHard they offer here is the "South" variant - warmer temps - which I'm not too sure about. It does get below freezing out here (sometimes even into the 10's), and I don't have a garage.

By the way - I am NOT getting an Optima.

If I could just get another OEM battery for the same price, I'd do that. That battery is still kicking (pushing 7+), and has never let me down once.

we put new interstates in 3 of our vehicles, at the exact same time.... my jeep started leaking at 18 months. my liberty 2 years, and our ram, 2 years and 4 days lol.......

after talking to other mechanics, even those who sell them.... they wouldn't run them in their vehicles either.

as for the platinum, i love mine, but you are right, its a bit pricey. but.... can your battery do this??...........

Drove up the back side Mt Lemon today with the Family. It is getting rockier and rockier every year. Good to put some easy miles on the transfer case every once in a while. Saw a JeepForum.com sticker in the back window of a WJ at the intersection of Ina and Oracle at 3:00 PM today. I know I've seen this Jeep on this thread before...

Damn. Wish I could afford that. Anyway, to avoid hijacking this further, I have started a "battery debate thread": http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310/...udget-1128441/

Have at it!

Angry

Went out for a little wheeling and trashed my front driveshaft and had to be pulled off the obstacle by a JKunl buddy of mine.

Anyone have a good price on a front driveshaft?? Autozone wants 500$

haha. i did a little wheeling as well on sunday. got stuck and managed to completely rip off my front bumper. but to make matters worse. My nice new front grille i did up, well lets just say its not brand new anymore. someone else got stuck. and when they were pulling them out the strap broke (older strap) thinking i was far enough away (i wasnt) my grilee got whipped by what closely resembled a wet towel.

sucks to be me, but could of been worse i guess. Oh, and sorry to hear about your frontdrive shaft bro. oh yeah and my stock jeep out performed a semi lifted with tires chevy. haha thank god for a short wheel base.

haha. i was pissed for about 3 min when it happened. i was planning on taking it off the "right way" when i put my lift and tires on. guess this was the fast way...haha. only thing i dont like about leaving the bumper off though is now the lower part of my radiator is completely exposed right now.
