I saw this new 11 Overland so I parked my 02 next to it. I am considering upgrading to the new 11 style rims, what do you guys think? I don't know if these will fit even with my 1" higher Up-Country.. Anyways, I washed and waxed it today and vacuumed the interior, which was badly needed.

sent to the shop for a rad. replacement.

it's ridiculous to have to replace a rad. from 03 with 120k on it
and I really don't have time to do it, so it went to the shop.

QUOTE=billzcat1;wsar10 is right on point on this oil thread - as usual. Anyone reading this would be well-served taking his advice.

Thats about how long most radiators are rated to last anyways.... the aftermarket ones only last like 30k anyways

I was using 5-w30 conventional Chevron oil from Costco. The oil had about 3k miles on it. All signs point to an oil issue as it had a few small leaks before driving it when it blew, I was too clean to crawl under neath it and find the leak. I'm not sure exactly what happened when it blew as the wife was driving it. but it could have been an oil sludge or oil pump issue as I bought it with 30k and who knows how many times it was changed. Regardless, the same oil is doing just find in the wifes 97 Rav4 with 130k miles. Moving forward nothing but mobil 1.
