I bought myself another wj. Its a 2002 laredo, 145,000 miles, 2500$ I'm buying it from my part time job, all it needs is front sheet metal and a radiator.

$2500 for an 02 is dirt cheap, even if it does need work.

I thought so, I get decent deals at the local jeep only junkyard. Parts will be cheap and ill be able to charge them. I'm pretty excited as its a fairly clean jeep

I just added in a 250GB hard drive so i will never run out of music. Now I just need to add a power outlet to my center console so I don't have to run a cable from the cigarette lighter to the drive. I don't like having my wiring be visible.

If there's a Costco on your island, go get an Optima battery. It's a little more, but if you're paying that much already...

Found the reason to my rear end clunking last night. Definitive evidence that I need to get a turndown welded on to my exhaust. Johnny joint bushings got cooked with the exhaust.

Drove my Jeep today. That's a great feeling as it's been in for engine remanufacture for 3 weeks. The first pic is of the crapped block- the rebuilder said he's never seen one that bad (7 of the pistons were frozen to the block) and couldn't believe it only had 65k miles. 2nd pic is the finished engine. The only difference in driving her now is my wallet is a lot lighter. On to the lift install next weekend.

Oh my gawd! How did you manage to kill a 4.7 HO in under 65k miles!

Glad to hear shes up and running, keep her running well or I'm coming over to abduct that engine!
