how much did the unistrut cost you ?

i wanna take my lights off my factory roof rails because there not as sturdy and the rail has a slight curve to it

The strut cost 15 dollars for a 10 foot piece at Home Depot. I cut the width to the lip of the roof and the door frame. I got two pieces out of it with about 3 feet left, I can use that somewhere I'm sure. I used the same strut method for the tire mount.

Here are some full view pics.

Got my IRO front bar pin eliminator brackets installed.

Started to scope out the areas for the ZJ washer bottle installation. In the aft location I do not see how people keep the bottle from riding the brake lines and fluid level connector at the master cylinder reservoir. Front location requires getting rid of the factory cold air box. May end up with two smaller bottles, front in the front and rear in the rear. Did find that some of the wire harness plastic cladding is brittle, and crumbles if you rub up against it. Gotta love the effects of the summer heat.

On a 200 mile road trip to pick up a 242hd w/ SYE and the matching rear drive shaft. Thanks to the aussie locker I spun a bearing in 247. It's crazy cause I had I rebuilt under warranty less than 3000 miles ago. I'm super stoked to have 2WD!! Now all I need are some sliders. (and long arms and 35's!)

drove my jeep to go buy another wj. Just bought a 01 GC limited with 95k miles and factory tow package for 1000 bucks. All because the owner didnt know why it wouldnt steer correctly. He should have looked at the track bar bolt!

sadly i was mistaken when i read the craigslist add for the TC. is said new SY, i thought that he forgot to put the E in there so no SYE but... i installed it today by myself and it took me like 5.5 hours to do. the biggest PITA that i ran into was when i got to the point in the FAQ where it says to lower the cross member 2 inches. i got stuck there and then i said screw it and braced the tranny and pulled the cross member and the tranny bushing and after that it was easy. i am so glad i never have to buy another bottle of mopar gold (NV247 fluid). did my first burnout in the wj after i was done. I'm lovin it. also the Aussie locker seems to really appreciate the decreased strain by having something other than 4FT or 4LO to run in. after that was done i went to oreilys and grabbed a new water pump and the wrench to pull the fan. tried to get a tstat but they were out. thats tomorrows project depending what time i get off work.

can anyone say yay or nay as to weather i should install a transgo shift kit in the dub j? i ran across a post earlier on NAGCA that has a write up. just wanted to see if anyone had one and would recommend it. I'm gonna be changing my filters soon so it would be the perfect time to do it.

Congrats on the install. You will love 2WD the more you get to play with it.

thanks dude. yeah its a mod Ive been looking forward to for the past six months. the hardest part of the whole thing was the time it took to actually find the TC i needed. some places online are retarded on their pricing.

The 45RFE is a great transmission. I wouldn't unless you are having problems with it. I have 189K on the clock and it still shift fine.

Rocktoberfest is almost here.
