sadly i was mistaken when i read the craigslist add for the TC. is said new SY, i thought that he forgot to put the E in there so no SYE but... i installed it today by myself and it took me like 5.5 hours to do. the biggest PITA that i ran into was when i got to the point in the FAQ where it says to lower the cross member 2 inches. i got stuck there and then i said screw it and braced the tranny and pulled the cross member and the tranny bushing and after that it was easy. i am so glad i never have to buy another bottle of mopar gold (NV247 fluid). did my first burnout in the wj after i was done.
I'm lovin it. also the Aussie locker seems to really appreciate the decreased strain by having something other than 4FT or 4LO to run in. after that was done i went to oreilys and grabbed a new water pump and the wrench to pull the fan. tried to get a tstat but they were out. thats tomorrows project depending what time i get off work.
can anyone say yay or nay as to weather i should install a transgo shift kit in the dub j? i ran across a post earlier on NAGCA that has a write up. just wanted to see if anyone had one and would recommend it. I'm gonna be changing my filters soon so it would be the perfect time to do it.
