Wj And this is how I'm gonna fix it

So after I took out the seats to work on the heaters, I just kept going. I gutted the interior to get out the headliner. Why would I do that, well to install a 13" subwoofer of course. I didnt want to loose cargo space and there is a nice 4-5" recess in the rear ceiling so In-Ceiling sub here we go. I know there are lots of saftey issues but I can weld in a 1" square tube subframe to mount the fiberglass enclousre to. Then I will swap out front and rear full range speakers for JL audio C2 series with a C5 Tweeter in the stock dash locations. The Sub is a JL audio 13TW5 which is about 3 1/2" deep.( Thats how I can get it to fit up there with out hanging down past headliner) A JL Audio HD900/5 5 channel will give 100w to the full range and 500w to the sub. For the head unit, a JVC single din nav w/3.5" screen will fill the hole in the dash. See Pics

Wj dont know much about threads

I bought this jeep on a Tuesday and one week later it looks like this. I had an 86 CJ that took 11 mos to build. Toooooo long. This time I'm just jumping in with both feet and hands. After the stereo gear, I went bonkers with the go go stuff. Orderd RCX 4" w/ Stering Stabilizer, ICOR Winch bumper and cut out flares, 285/75/16 Duratrac's on 16" MB Chaos. I have been taking pics but I am not too familar with forums. If the masses think this is worth folowing, help me start a thread. More pics to folow.

Good list already.

My CJ has taken me 13 months to build and I'm still not done. Actually just changed plans again so it is going to take another 13 months probably.

Replace the TRE at the Pittman Arm, removed the stock front driveshaft for a Tom Woods shaft from Iron Rock with the two new yokes (changed T-case fluid with Mobil 1 ATF), put on front OME Trim Spacers and removed the rocker trim so I can get the Iron Rock Offroad Sliders installed today (doesn't looke like fun at all).

Wj

Got it back from the dealer we bought it from Friday! After discussing with them the parking brake they were supposed to fix as part of my purchase deal. It turned out to be a leaking rear axle seal, which also contaminated the p-brake shoes. They sent it out to a local Jeep dealer and fixed it right, I hope!!!! I'm glad they took care of it. I have to put in a good word for them: Galaxy Toyota, Eatontown, NJ.

I was getting ready to do it mostly myself, just have the bearing and seal pressed onto the axle shaft.

I gotta call over there and confirm they put 75w140 (ya, I'm towing) and friction modifier in the 44, and I'm gonna pull the rear wheels today and check out the seals and p-brake shoes. Since I'm in the process of changing all the fluids anyway, I still have to do the 30 up front.
