I got some maintenance items in from Kolak yesterday. Threw a new air filter in on my lunch break and should be doing my spark plugs, PCV/CCV valves and maybe if theres time, change the transmission filters this weekend. Next on the list will be new fluids in the Tcase and front/rear diffs.

Hopefully thatll be it for maintenance and then I can get to the fun stuff!

Did an entire cooling system flush because the retards at valvoline decided to "help" me out and top me off with dexcool. Took me hours to get all of the crap out of the system.

I showed them my bill for when they changed my oil and it even shows they added dexcool, but the service tech said that that's what he "saw" in the system. I'm sure the kid thought the mopar pink was dexcool red. So instead of arguing I decided to make sure the flush was done correctly instead of giving them the chance to ruin my jeep.

I honestly don't either, not sure what I was thinking! I guess I forgot how inept these chains can be.

I put a fan clutch on mine. My WJ started overheating on uphills and occasionally on the highway ever since I put my Zeon winch on. Fan clutch was free-spinning, replaced and drove from 6000 ft up to 12000ft. Problem fixed!

I will only go to a mechanic's shop NOT a quick lube shop.

Wj Today I...

Got a title and registration for my "new" 04 Limited. (i.e., I stood in line at the Virginia DMV for a couple hours!!!)

Then I took 'er to the shop for Safety Inspection (VA).

Failed.

Left rear reverse light out.
Emergency Flashers don't work.
Pass headlight aimed wrong.
Bad wiper blades.

Headed to the parts store, and home to fix it all.

Hit up this forum to figure out WHERE THE HECK is the flasher??? Had a great read on the board about how to fix the flasher

(and it worked!!! I found it, fixed it... now will return the $60 part I just bought -- and paid for a yearlong membership on the board with the money)

Fixed lights, flasher, wiper blades and headlight. Heading back for Safety tomorrow!!

And the beast is in need of serious interior detailing.

But the most exciting ... got notification that my 3" IRO lift kit had shipped!!!! Next week suspension work!!
