Picked it up from the mechanic, replaced the tierods, front springs, shocks and a few bushings in the rear. It's now 1.5" higher in the front, the old springs were sagging causing it to hit the bump stops of most bumps and a lot of suspension noise. Rides and steers great now.

I was thinking about this idea just a couple of days ago. Thought "Ya know, everybody does the rally style stripe in the hood humps. No one does the lower portions of the hood. I should give that a shot" I should have gone for it. Damn you... Looks good though. Glad to see something different.

That was actually my reasoning. I like to do all of my stuff different and unique. Most of my stuff is bright and different from what everyone else does. Like my engine bay lol. Thanks!! I like it was well. Turned out good.

New front brake discs (Brembo), pads (EBC) and a fluid change all make for a massive improvement in stopping power.
Also changed all 4 shocks. Only put on cheap Sensen ones, but that made a huge difference too. The old ones had over 150k miles under their belt and one was rattling too!

Steam cleaned the combustion chambers by sucking a slow trickle of water (over a litre) through a vacuum hose.
Have been getting injector codes and mil light for a long time and now its off and no more codes- yet.
Always thought it was a fuel problem as I run on LPG.
Runs smoothly too. Not that it was bad before.

If you get the rock crawling bug and funds are tight, think about buying a yj or xj that you can bash and keep the wj for scenic trips. If funds are no problem, put some Ecgs Dana 60's, 37" tires an exocage, 242hd, then watch the wranglers try to keep up with you.
Will check it out, as far as going bigger then 33s, I don't think I will, and as far as a rock rig, been looking at a couple "built" Xjs for bashing, I will be keeping the Wj for the wife if I go this route, otherwise I will build it for me lol
