I still like to do mine at 3k but I do have over 225xxx miles on my 4.0. But I have been told I over do it, on my old Toyota truck I have over 300xxx on their re22 4-banger, last time I saw that truck the gal had put another 25k on it and just re-built the motor.

looks better now too.
Then finally got around to installing the new flood light housings. Old ones were full of water.

Was a productive day and actually fixed something. hahaah

New Steering Stabilizer (Moog Trail Boss), U Joint for Front Driveshaft, 4 all new tie-rods up front and an alignment.

Also, washed and cleaned the underside up.

eBay, Amazon. They'll probably have the best prices of your everyday bull bar. If you're looking for something more specific, look around at accessory sites like jcwhitney, summitracing, etc.

I read in a thread somewhere to test between points 1 and 2 then 2 and 3 with a multimeter.

Wj E brake cable. arrrrgh!!

E brake cable snapped yesterday. Read multiple forums......
Pull the back seat up they said.....flip the carpet up they said....2 hours and three broken bolts and cut carpet later, the e brake cable is in. The three bolts that hold the equalizer down were seized. 1st one broke,@#$%! babied the second one, snap! @%$#$%%^%#! Sloooowly started the third and pumped it full of penetrating oil...slooooowly..snap. WTF Jeep?! Cheap soft steel bolts, was able to cut them with a file. Tomorrow...drilling out the frozen remnants. More cursing and all around fun. Finish rant.

PS the forum advice was spot on. the bolts however were fubar.

I used mine to haul a huge donation of dog food for the rescue group that I volunteer with. The load had to be 1000lbs, if not more. I was impressed how well the brakes worked and the ability of the 4.0 to keep the jeep moving along.
Last week I had to replace the radiator fan relay, so I popped out both headlights to polish them again, and cut the hole in the header panel to gain access to the relay. With the headlights out, I realized how many of the small amber bulbs that were burnt out so they got replaced as well. Now I finally understand the "strobe" effect when the hazards are on. I never understood what people were talking about before!
