I'm gonna have to build a frikin scaffolding to reach the area.
Not too bad, but my windshield was out so that made it easier. No holes, just scale and surface rust and only on the top section. A mini grinder got it down to clean metal in about 10min. Only one spot was up past the moulding, but was able to feather it out without using filler. Then I repainted the front section up to the sunroof.

do you have issues with your battery getting drained or losing charge quickly? That seems like a good idea and I could do that really easy

no, just don't forget to leave it on when you turn the engine off. i've done that a few times but still didn't drain the battery.

okay sweet, thanks! I might end up doing that today then. I'm working on my buddy's TJ with him so we'll end up doing that more than likely

This past weekend I hit a salvage yard on Saturday morning and pulled all these parts out of a 99 with less than 136,000 kms for $250. Installed them all yesterday and took it for a drive. Steering box clunk and steering play is all gone, and steering wheel is finally centred after lift. Old drag link was fused. Now I have 2 problems. 1. I still have a clunk that I think is wallowed out frame side trackbar mount. 2. I have a brand new drag link kit and high pressure steering pump hose ready for pick up in Sumas WA that I don't need any longer.

Today I put on 265/70-17 Duratracs with 1.25" spacers. I had to trim a little bit off the bumper and the wheel well but not too much. It rides pretty smooth.. a little noisy on the highway but not too bad. Only had them for a day but overall i like them.

I found the source of the clunking when I hit a bump and just turning on flat ground. The threads on the crappy OEM bolt were grinding and clunking on the edge of the hole and it was all wallowed out. Fixed it for $2.50.

Just got back from a drive and I love her again.

I'm going to stop by a welding shop tomorrow to see how much they'll charge to tack on some washers or thin metal to fix it for good.

Looks Good! Absolutely love Duratracs. I almost think they were made for Jeeps. Had them on my ZJ and now have them on my WJ. A little pricey but worth every penny IMO.

Take your VIN number to the Jeep dealership and they should be able to cut you a new key. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is to order a whole new ignition assembly with new keys.

agree with this. I got a spare made at a local locksmith. They should have a programmer that will put the same code that's in your key, in the spare.
