Are you going to part it out, or just scrap it?

I got my 2004 Overland a few months ago. Today it's getting an Eibach front sway bar and brand new Rubicon take offs to replace the old dingy chrome clad wheels.

Already done... new 235/65r17 Dueler AT Revos, new control arms front and rear including the rear upper ball joint, new sway bar links, Bilstein HDs, Addco rear sway bar, new front axle seals and CV joints, new calipers front and rear, Raybestos R300 rotors and Advanced Technology ceramic pads, all fluids changed, new spark plugs, seat recall heating element replacement, new exterior window molding strips, new liftgate struts, new windshield and new floor mats.

Fixed the broken ground wire in the door harness, fixed a CEL by lubing up the o-ring on my gas cap. Also fixing little annoyances along the way... missing/broken/stripped bolts, nuts, clamps. Those nutserts in the frame are a PIA.

Still on the bucket list are new ball joints, tie rods/ends, steering stabilizer, new u joints, and new coil springs. It's also got an oil leak for sure at the valve covers and possibly the oil pan gasket. My oil pan is rusted to crap so I'm just replacing it along with the new gasket and doing new valve cover gaskets. When that's done the bucket list will grow even longer I'm sure.

I'm probably going to get the rust fixed proper with new metal and paint, but before I do I need to investigate the rear drain tube for the sunroof problem that made it rust in the first place.

I don't do a lot of offroading but I'm always hauling stuff around both on and off road. It's basically a grocery getter on steroids for me and my dog.

It's going to cost me a small fortune before I'm done but that's what Jeeps are for

I believe in order to mount them properly you need to have the backing plate and they come with grade 8 hardware already.
That was the point. The Harbor Freight tow hooks that Aaron purchased are just hooks that have no backing plate and two mounting bolts (of an unspecified grade) per. The factory tow hooks have three Grade 8 bolts per side holding them to their mount, and an additional three Grade 8 bolts holding that assembly to the uniframe with a backing plate.

The latter is the bare (safe) minimum.

Hopefully this will make it easier to understand:

Debadged the whole exterior. Need to get some rubbing compound to get rid of the outline and "ghost lettering" but pretty happy with the clean look of it.

There was a thread about how long the rzeppa joints last after a lift.
I think you just beat the record for shortest time.

I can see it. He has QD. Mine lasted all of about 50 yards in 4-Hi post-lift (+~50 miles in 2WD).
