250lb torque wrench for that axle nut. Look at those ball joints real well while you are in that deep.

Replace the 3 bolts on each side while you're at it. And for an extra $120 you should have gotten both CV assembly shaft's. Heat the outer of the control arm before you pound those wheel hubs out.

Finally home for a weekend for once. Was busy last several weekends, searching for our new WJ. So today,I swept and worked on detailing the inside before it got too cold... mixed and added engine coolant. Refilled windshield washer fluid, and sprayed WD-40 on some squeeky parts. Typical Jeep stuff.

Installed my new OME HD springs today. Last weekend I replaced all of my control arms and bushings, so today I did the lift. The rear got the new springs, isolators, Blistein shocks, Adco sway bar w/greasable bushings and IRO links. The front got the springs, isolators, shocks, and new IRO links (kept the original sway bar). Tomorrow I need to install and adjust the new JKS trackbar, new sway bar frame mount bushings and steering stabilizer. I took it for a quick spin and I love the new ride. Much better than the 176K mile ride . I got all of my parts from Kolak, he knows how to put a system together.

Here are a few cell pics. The first is from a few years ago when I bought it, the second is from today. I forgot to measure the before height, but I am very happy with the end result.

In the next few weeks I will be doing ball joints, cv shafts, hubs, tie rod ends and drag links. Then off for some new tires (close to stock size) and an alignment. My front tires are slicks! (The reason I started this adventure) Oh yea, I got the front and rear Kolak Stillen brake upgrade on the way, so a system flush and install of those will be in the future also.

My jeep wasn't prepared for today's heavy rains. Sun roof doesn't seal, catch pan or whatever it is is likely broken in there too, and the drain tubes certainly have to be clogged. Why? Well maybe thecouple inches of water on the floor and the fact I had water coming down from the Evic, mirror, and just dripping down onto me from the headliner. Looks like ill be tearing out the headliner this weekend

Cool, now I get a sneak peek at what mine will look like lifted. I also have a silver Overland, almost the same mileage, 179k.
Mine will get done when it's warmer. I am not going to mess with cold, frozen, stuck bolts.

Growing up in New England, I know what you mean. I kinda feel like I cheated. My jeep never saw the outside of southern CA until I bought it. I'd be embarassed to tell you how long it took me to tear it apart and put it together. Kinda felt like I was on one of those TV shows where everything comes apart and goes together just like the book says it will in the time alloted by the network...

Fixed my check engine light. I was throwing code P1494. I had a crack in my gas cap so i replaced it with a locking one from Advance Auto.

Fixed my P0123 code. Resolved by replacing the aftermarket TPS with an OEM TPS. Aftermarket was throwing a high voltage surge code along with stalling out when cold, preventing cruise control to work, and hiccup throttle response. Funny how sometimes aftermarket parts are junk!

Very nice!

If your going to sell your JK rims and tires let me know,I am looking for some newer treads and I was thinking about running the JK rims in that same size if they fit.
I think the picture is a little deceiving. I work right around the corner literally so I've always looked at your Jeep as inspiration. I have another project that the wheels and tires will be going on so cant sell them. Although I would recommend the JK wheels with 1.5" spacers. They sit nicely just past the fenders, were fairly cheap and get a lot of complements. So much so it has me questioning buying these.

OT I picked up my IRO rock rails from the paint shop. Also had them paint the bug shield I got for the hood to help push air over the roof rack and soon to be LED light bar.
