Yesterday on the way to work I think I blew a tranny line. Couldn't drive her home from work.

Already posted about my new tires but I have a pic now. 245/65/r17 cooper discoverer atp. A big change looks-wise from the bald street tires that I had on it before.

I love those tires. The only complaint I have about them is that it looks like we might not get that great of mileage out of them.

We've got trucks with these same tires on them where I work (Electric Utility) and they've been giving us 50-60k miles rotated regularly on our half ton trucks. We just have to rotate them very regularly or they start wearing unevenly and the road noise becomes an issue.
I haven't had these exact tires on my work truck but the BFG A/Ts I had gave me almost 70k miles so these aren't too far off.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that I should have got a heavier load range on the Cooper's. We've put 12k on them and they're about half worn down right now, regular rotations at 6k miles and no signs of uneven wear.

No biggie though as I only paid $135 a tire OTD, if I pick up another set to replace these then I'll definitely look at a heavier sidewall.

Replaced my headliner for $15. The wet spots on the new headliner are from me cleaning a few spots before putting it up.

Installed a set of 245/64-17 yokahama geolander at/s over the weekend. snow melted off the roads before I had a chance to try them out but so far I have no complaints. Feels good to have tread again! Also found out my drag link by the pitman arm is shot, gotta replace it so I can get my alignment
