Hello all! Just bought my first jeep a week ago. Today was the first chance I've had to really dive into it. Started by changing the battery cable ends, they were pretty loose and one seemed to be cracked. Then I addressed the whining noise coming from the ps pump. Thank to all the helpful post on here I was able to trace the problem back to the previous owner using ATF in the ps resivor. The guy I bought it from had told me that he had a shop replace the ps pump a couple months ago, so I assume they just used the wrong fluid. After flushing out the old and replacing with Valvoline, that meets the mopar specs, the noise seems to have went away. I hope no long term damage was done.
I'm sure I'll be back on here posting more in the future, I have big plans for my new Jeep as long as my checking account will cooperate.

I'm more of a eBay guy. Has anyone tried these? Appear to made of the same material. One of the sellers has over 22k transactions with 100% feedback.
I bought a set of JK spacers for my WJ off of ebay and my studs werent long enough. I could only get maybe 3 turns on the lugs that hold the spacer to the hub. Didnt feel too grand about that I sold the spacers and got a set of steelies with 4.0" if back spacing. Not as pretty as my stock 17's but I feel a good bit safer about them.
Hope that helps
I'm starting to think my parents didn't buy me enough tonka trucks as a kid.
