Got the 4in Rough Country kit installed on my own Jeep. Now time for some trimming and 33s!

Short arm x-series for now. I will be picking up a new DD next year so I may go long arm then.

I tightened up the lower track bar bolt that had loosened, and ordered a 12mm bolt from the dealer. Nobody has a grade 8 12mm bolt around here other than them.

I'll be throwing that on tomorrow with some red locktight.

Found a set of Rubicon wheels and tires on CL for $350. Hopefully the 32s fit with minimal trimming on the 3" IRO lift.

They will. You'll have to trim the front bumper a bit, and they will scrub on control arms when cranked hard in reverse, but not too bad.

That's because grade 8 is for sae hardware. The metric equivalent is a 10.9 grade.

just eliminated the stock CD Changer (since I havent bought or Burned a single CD in over 4 years). Tapped into wires 1,5,and 6 on the CD Changer. 1 & 5 are the audio Left and right, 6 is the audio ground. THere's also a way to do it fform the front, But I couldn't find a good Pinout diagram for a RB1 radio and Didn't feel like tinkering with the electric tester tracing wires in the 32 degree weather that day. Installed the aux port just to the left of the glove box. Looks damn near factory finished. IT's flush with the panel.

The changer has to be working for this to work, right? I'm really looking for a way to tap into the HU....Ideally...

correct, I left the rest of the wires alone. also, I left 1 CD in there on repeat, otherwise, it wont work if the radio doesn't pick up a signal that the changer isn't running

If you have the tape player, there is a thread on here that tells you how to tap into that and add a 3.5 mm jack. Just search for it.

Welded new coil spring perches on the surrogate, rebuilt axle assembly. Got it coated with rust encapsulator. Tomorrow...front end dismantling...
