Changed out my wrong power steering fluid.
Took me longer to get the air box bolts out than to drop the return hoses off the pump, drain / pump out and refill / purge.

Eye balling the Y-pipe bolts for the oil pan change. I'm not sure if this is gonna be beyond my skills.... I shoulda started PB ing them.

Not sure which rear axle I have. It has the rubber plug. Is that the 35c?

did you get the loud sounds when the pump had no fluid?
did a freind help or it just pumped out ok?
did you take off both lines?

i believe you have the V8 and the pipe has to come off to replace the pan

The D44HD I have in my 99, and the one that was in my neighbors 97 ZJ both had rubber plugs.

A D35 is perfectly oval. The D44HD is not a perfect oval, it is larger on one side.
Another Check...get a magnet off of your fridge. It will stick to the axle tubes and the diff on a 35. On the 44 aluminum, it will stick to the tubes and not the center section.

My D44a has a rubber plug, and I'm pretty sure the one in Mom's WJ does too.

I thought all 44a's had a rubber fill plug, mine does

To stay on topic, the Aussie in the rear I installed last week is now my favorite mod to date. My wife hates it because now I have to get an ARB for the front. But first, ordering a 242HD after I get off work. Which is wild because the 247 was rebuilt about 5,000 miles ago. Going to byrds this weekend to check out their trails before rocktoberfest.

Put on new pads up front and painted the stock wheels gunmetal - they were pretty nasty looking before. I'll try to post pics when my computer decides to start working properly again!

Ordered new Bilstein's from shockwarehouse Thursday, just regular free shipping, and to my surprise FedEx was here this morning with them! That was fast, and a good price too!
I will install those tomorrow!

Just got these babies today at one of the new junkyards I found here at upstate new York. Very reasonable guys

Edit: The entire tow hook setup with everything was $20. Nice! I also went to harbor freight and bought a good $80 worth of tools (intended on spending $100 on the hooks from mopar)

I also did some research and found another massive junkyard 30 minutes away me and comptiger are going to hit up for his ZJ hooks. Any WJ parts I should be on the look out for, this place looks like theyre going to have everything!!!

Check out the aerial of it!
