I run the 255/65-17 Rocky Mountains on my WJ. Had them on with stock suspension and just had rubbing that made a easy acess hole to the fog light. Still running the tires with 2.5 springs.

Good to hear. Do you have any pics before the springs?

Was driving home at about 55 mph and something in the drivetrain felt like it bound up completely for a split second. Only way i can describe it is it was like somebody throwing a stick in the spokes on a bicycle and it locks the wheel up for a split second until the stick breaks. Shook the whole jeep obviously. It gave no warning and drove perfect afterwards. Just by the sound I would lean toward transmission or transfer case but I know sounds arent always where they seem. Any ideas?

Thanks! Not too bad. I used a heat gun and pried them open. Then after painting and reassembling I heated back together. I didn't notice any loss of light tonight. Will test again though.

What did you use to paint them? My front end looks weird more with Limited headlights and black cladding and grill. Keep us posted on any loss of light output at night.

No loss of light driving this morning. I used just plain flat black. The part that actually reflects the light forward I left chrome. It also gave it the jeep round light look. Since my jeep black it looked weird to have bright chrome/light headlights. I didn't want to tint them. I am really happy with them.

The insert I painted.

Here is the reflectors I left alone.

FYI... I seen another write up where a guy putting in projectors had put them in the oven at 350* (I believe??) for ten minutes and then pried them apart easily so if anyone else is thinking about it and doesn't have a heat gun that might be the way to go

Looks Good BTW!!

Found out that my RB1 is really ok. It is one of those that doesn't like burnt disks. I had my local Jeep dealer put in a Mopar AC Nav disk, and the RB1 works like a champ!! Now, just have to find a Mopar AL disk that someone doesn't think it's made out of gold!!
