Sweet find!!! You stole that for $2200. Details man what does it have, v8 or i6?? Interior in good condition, and what are your plans with it?
It's a I6. Everything is in good condition except I need a new header panel, grille, etc (cheap plastic, lol).
I've got a wife and kid and another on the way, so I had to buy something "practical"... (ie, everything else I used to own was more musclecarish), so this is my practical vehicle.
My plans? I'm gonna drive it till it dies.
(but after it dies, I'll probably do stuff to it, lol.).... (that didn't come out right... well, you get the idea )
Washed, vacuumed and cleaned a dirty spot on the floor and seat (not sure where they came from). Recharged my AC as now that's it's been warm I noticed it wasn't really cold like it should be. That was very simple and it made a huge difference.
Picked up my '01 today from Firestone. They replaced the left-rear axle seal, bearing, and retainer for $274 + tax. I originally called the Jeep dealer to get a price quote and that's what they quoted me. So, when I called Firestone, they quoted me $364 + tax. When I told them I'd take it to the dealer, they offered to price-match.
I had researched how to do it myself...pull the axle...take it into a shop to remove and install...I figured, nah...just pay someone to do it. Plus 6 months same as cash Now I get to replace the diff fluids this weekend.
