Well had her in the shop for new ball joints, no time to do it myself with school, picked it up and the abs light came on. Drove it home and checked for loose wires. Found nothing. So I went back and they found a busted wire going to the sensor and denied it all saying they didnt touch the wires. (they had to as one of the retainers is connected to the ball joint bolt, which isnt there anymore) and took it off the lift and gave me back the keys and walked away. Kinda pissed off about it. :/
,,,soooo I graduated in 2013...
If it's not too personal, how much did you pay for it? Did you get the latest DVD for it? AL is the latest. Did you mount the satellite antenna for the GPS? Pretty easy install, all in all.
When I get around making my extender cable, I will put in my Mopar iPod Integration Kit. I am going to see if the box will fit behind the gauge cluster, first, before I make the cable.
Ughhh, in between dropping off the kid to practice. And having to go to the store, I worked on my rock rails. I got them for $200, and the guy told me they only had a little surface rust, but it's a little worse than that. I could turn it up on end and hear stuff falling from one end to the other like a rain stick.
When I finally took the end caps off, this incredible mound of rust and probably sand or dirt came out. Here are the pictures of the piles of "just surface rust" that I have been wire brushing, by hand. I need to get a wire brush wheel for my dremel tool or drill. One rail is worse than the other.
I have been reading about stopping rust, on here, lately. I bought Loctite Extend Rust neutralizer. Then I will prime them. Then paint the rails a hammered silver, and keep the end caps gray. I bought the mounting hardware, because they did not come with it. M8 x 1.25 extruded u-nuts, M8 x 1.25 x 40 bolts and some lock washers.
Looking at the mounting holes on the ends of the rails, it looks like I will need bigger washers, too. Does anyone have a picture or list of what all the mounting hardware consists of? I have most of it, already, I just want to see if I missed anything.
**Edit** never mind, I saw a picture of the bolt on WJJeeps.com and the bolts I ordered a just regular machine bolts without washers. I will have to go buy flat washers to go on them, too.
I just bought a cb radio from someone on the forum. How r u wiring like what too fuse or battery
I plan on running it off the main fuse box in side my cab with a 10 amp inline fuse and mounting the radio on the dash, I have already made up a bracket so I don't have drill holes into my dash :thumbs up; ad my antenna will be mounted in front off my driver side brush guard, that might change if I end up getting a whip ( I really want to get a whip) I will be doing a write up in my build :-D
I got my RB1 for $155 on ePay, but, they said it wouldn't read the Nav disc. It didn't come with a Nav disc, which I'm getting from a person on here, and didn't come with the GPS antenna, which is cheap. I have several ways of getting the DVD reader to read the disc, and I still think it was worth the gamble.
