Check your air filter. Check for codes. Check for a lead weight on the gas pedal.

Easiest way is to use a scan tool. If you don't have one, any autoparts store will check for codes for free. Your owners manual will explain how to check them with out the scan tool.

Easiest way is to use your key. Turn the ignition switch to on-off-on-off-on without starting it. The odometer will show codes or done if not any.

+1 for the key trick. it will even show pending codes (when the MIL is not on yet)... some of the cheap scan tools don't.

So I move on to the map sensor and on a 4.7L it is tucked between the alternator and the AC compressor so getting to the 2 bolts is not easy. Well anyways, I dropped one of the 2 bolts and I cannot find it after 45 minutes of looking.........

Any ideas as to what the part number may be for the bolt?

All I have been able to come up with is this...
http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/.../06101946.html

Any help would be appreciated.

(I already tried to get a bolt at Menards and according to their little display it is a 4mm bolt, which I purchased and cant get it started. The new bolt is a straight cut at the end and the factory bolt is kind of conical at the end)

I have a 2002 Overland with the 4.7L

Tried the dealer for the bolts and that was a no go....... Said it would take 3-4 days to get some from a central warehouse.

Ended up going to a local u pull it place and got them.

I'm starting to think my 4.7 doesn't like synthetic oil. These last few days it's been chilly in the morning and it's noisier than usual. Reminds me of the rattle sound the 4.0 in my old XJ used to make lol.
