Changed my T-case fluid yesterday.. super eazy and was due for it...

Changing my transmission fluid next. I got the two filters from the dealership.
I know it takes ATF +4.

Does anyone swear by one brand ATF+4 over another????

Let's see lastnight I had fan relay failure as I put an alternator in my friends truck, in the rain, the dub over heated broke the radiator and possibly blew the head gasket. Going to do a compression test tomorrow morning....hoping for the best planning for the worst. Lesson learned don't leave dub idling with no mechanical fan and me not sitting in seat to watch temp gauge.

I gave up after 2 relays in 2 days. I did a switch in the cab. Something with the wiring i presume. I am not digging into that electrical mess.

So when i get out of the WJ, i just hit the switch. Saves the headache and worry.

For people with relay issues advise heading over to summit and picking up a T-fitting for the radiator hose and an adjustable temp control unit with proper relays for the cooling fan. Problem solved and no having to remember to hit the switch when it gets hot.

Today I spent 30 minutes dissassembling and cleaning my entire throttle body and 5 hours figuring out what I screwed up when I put it all back together. After it was back together my Jeep was idling horribly (1200rpm) and wouldnt slow down when you let your foot off the gas. Weird feeling but it was cool to cruise doing 30 for 2 miles and not touch the pedal at all. After 5 hours of taking everything apart, using OBD interfaces to read sensor data, adjusting the idle set screw, and re-seating all 3 sensors, I finally found that I had put the "Z" shaped IAC housing gasket on upside down. To think I was about to go out and buy a new IAC too. Nice Derp moment there. Now it drives beautifully, the idle is great, and throttle response improved drastically, the TB was carboned up pretty bad

If i could or knew how to do the relay deal, i would. Relays are not my specialty. One of the few things i have not learned to do. But that sounds like a great way to fix it. If you can tell me how to do it, id be most happy!

As for the throttle body, i second that. With the fuel filter and throttle body cleaning, i could tell a difference immediately.
