well new muffler, i mistyped. I was going to get a new cat because my exhaust smells like gas but i figured i will replace it when it either has a hole or my mpg suffers.

Well, was productive although back springs still need to be changed out. Front feels a bit stiffer (in a good way) in the front. Also rubber undercoated the wheel wells while in there. Funny thing is I couldn't get the jack out at all once I lowered the axle down due to the new control arms and how much flex they give. Drivers side spring came out easy. Passenger side had to use the spring compressors though to get them out. There was no tension but just not enough room to pull them out without undoing the track bar. I really didn't want to **** around with that, so compressors it was. Cleaned the springs and gave them a fresh coat of paint to try to keep the rust off, not that here was much to begin with on them. Ended up using low gloss black engine enamel for the rims. Matte I don't think looks right, and high gloss I'm not a fan of. Took well to the rims, and dried fast which was nice. Now to let them cure and see how they stand up. Was talking to someone where I bought it who used it for his and said they've stood up well since he did them earlier in the year. We shall see. Eventually want my rogues refinished and put on, but these will work in the interim. Also FINALLY painted the rocker cover to match the cladding. It's been driving me crazy I've not done it yet.

So here's the pics I took The one with the jack stuck under the pumpkin I just found funny. Then it's time to throw something on the bbq. I'm hungry now!

Fought tooth and nail to get severely rusted in ball joints out of a Dana 30 front axle assembly. Even with the proper press, still a long, drawn out nightmare. Six hours. Gah! Beer time...

Sucks about the rad. Make sure you bleed the system properly.

Nope LOL Rear springs are for another day. Fronts were the ones I needed in before the alignment. Taking a look when I took the wheels off, back ones look pretty rough shape. We'll see once I get them switched out.

What did you use to paint your cladding?

I only use krylon for plastic on any jeep I've had. Bonds to it so it won't flake or scrape off. Has always worked amazingly so no reason to try anything else. Only mistake I made is using it on the bumpers as they're limited's. On paint it will come off. Eventually will switch the bumpers to proper colour limited ones. Just haven't found yet. Need the front one for my setup, so want the back to match. Always hated the damn bumperettes.
