Trust me I know it didn't fix anything, but it gives me a little less of a headache...til I get some extra cash...then I'm replacing all the tre's gettin new tires and that should solve the problem...because I've replaced everything else already lol when I drop it off to get aligned tomorrow ill have them go over the front end.

Drove it to work all well not problem, at the end of the day hit the key fob only to find out that the driver side door refused to unlock. Hit my favourite restaurant only to find out that the windows stopped working as well had to open the door to pay through the drive through. Arrived home determined that driver door and rear hatch will not lock. So I parked it and drove my old ford too work. .... not a great way to start the labor day weekend. 4x4 mountain driving cancelled.

ill put together a thread with some info, i wasnt planning on doing a writeup so i didnt take detailed pics.....the wj is not a DD so i havent tested it out yet plus im still having wiring issues with my efan....but the zj rad was intended for a 4.0 plus with the ford efan it should be fine

i talked about getting finished photos so here they are i did paint the brackets today so this is kinda on topic

as you can see the rad is now all the way up(i havent cut stock support yet because i havent had a chance to really test the cooling performance but i dont see it being a problem)

Manik nerf bars

Polar bear brush guard with 2 6in lights

Polar bear rear bumper guard, (dunno if it will fit)

Got caught up in the idea of a diesel swap. After a few hours (most of the day), I was talked out of it and decided I'll stick with gas right now until I own a second vehicle and then the dub will become a toy vehicle. But watching a video of a 4BD2T swapped WJ had me drooling.

Tested the 2.7CRD GC not long time ago, seriously lack of torque and power vs the V8, very tractorish feeling, i will deff Go for a V8 again.

You knew I would have to reply to this didnt you?!!

It must have been duff one you tried. Same torque as a V8 and at much lower revs! Apart from starting from cold you would not really know mine was a diesel....its pretty quiet.
See below.

Years Displacement Engine Power Torque Notes
1999–2004 4.0 L (242 CID) Power Tech I6 195 hp (145 kW) 230 lbft (310 Nm) @ 3000 rpm
1999–2004 4.7 L (287 CID) PowerTech V8 235 hp (175 kW) 295 lbft (400 Nm) @ 3200 rpm
2002–2004 4.7 L (287 CID) High Output PowerTech V8 265 hp (198 kW) 330 lbft (450 Nm) Limited, Overland and Freedom Edition only
1999–2001 3.1 L Diesel 531 OHV Diesel I5 138 hp (103 kW) 283 lbft (384 Nm) available in Europe, South Africa, and Mercosur/Mercosul
2002–2004 2.7 L Diesel OM647 Diesel I5 161 hp (120 kW) 295 lbft (400 Nm) available in Europe, South Africa, Australia, and Mercosur/ Mercosul

Detroit Diesel/VM Motori[edit source | editbeta]

Although mine, with its tuning box, is up to about 205 bhp and 500nm of torque depending on the box setting....more than an HO V8 !
