That's what it came to but it was too late but then. Don't really like the idea of scraping a metal blade on my hood but a tooth pick didn't do anything. Gonna watch a couple more YouTube videos and maybe try one last time. Ugh.

The tooth pick will work wonderfully if you use it right. If you try to cut and trim once the plastidip is dried you will get no where and it will turn out awful. after you spray a coat, wait a minute and then start tracing the letters with a tooth pick, the key is to get it while its still wet, but slowly hardening. Thats how I did my emblems and it came out great in the first try. No need for 6 coats either, thats just overkill to cover up a bad job.

Finally modded my grille

Album here

Sprayed with a can of bedliner from Lowe's

Hardware cloth... galvanized... not what I was looking for, but figured I'd give it a shot

Masked, sanded, bed liner'd the bottom...

Got myself an ultragauge. Better way to go and more functional than getting a pillar pod and putting my old gauges in. Cleaner looking too! Now to figure out which of the 47gauges I can setup to use.

Caught this sighting today (handed my friend the phone and ordered him to take a picture). Thought it was mtnmarc at first. Anyone recognize it? Unfortunately I was driving an STi, and won't have my new 4.7 until next week and couldn't drive by in my dub

Finally got my Westin brush guard mounted. Only took a year or so to get it on. Lol. You can see from the pics my beefed up mounting brackets and I actually ended up cutting part of the original brackets to use as a backing plate. Most of the hardware is grade 8 except a few bits cuz the hardware store ran out. I'll replace those parts later. Eventually I plan on mounting heavy duty inline recovery hooks to the brackets, That is why the brackets are so stout. Trust me, I'm 280 and I can hang from it with zero flex. I was a little worried about how the brush guard would fit over my overland bumper as it juts out farther than all other WJ bumpers in the middle but as you can see it's nice and tight. I'm very satisfied. Oh and for the "that thing's just a damage multiplier" people, lets go bumper to bumper and put the hammer down and see who's damage has a higher multiple. Can't wait for some A-hole parallel Parker to back into me now. Also repainted the grill and lower fascia trim since its been primer grey/green for over a year, sorry ol girl.
