saturday I changed the oil, put on real hose clamps for the radiator hoses, found out I have a pin-hole in it, polished the headlights, and nightshaded the tail lights in a different kind of way

forgot abou the 3rd brake light but I thought it kind of popped a little bit

Wj New light Bar

This weekend, National Holidays in Peru, installed 4 lights in a light bar on my roof rack.

the mechanicahl part was easy, jus bolting and drilling.
the electrical part had its inconveniences. lots of cables, circuits, relay, switches.
at the end it worked, just a blown fuse, for mis wiring the switch ( had 4 pins and no diagram).
Some strange happened. when trying to start the engine, there was no battery, had to jump start it, and for a while didn´t hold minimum, and stalled.

I had to get full load in the battery for the engine to hold minimum. this morning I was praying for to start, but all went normal.

So it is all normal now, can some body tell me if I did something wrong. I disconnected the + for a while to connect the + of all the circuits.

Did a little trimming to the bumper cover after installing the new adjustable upper and lower CA's on the wife's WJ last night. Looks like it's time to say good bye to the factory fender liners.

I think I'm going to move the axle back towards the rear of the wheel opening though as it's rubbing on the fog lights now. I thought I had seen somewhere on here where you could make spacers for the fogs or flip the mounting bracket, but I haven't been able to find it.

Began to de-badge my Overland. Took it to a car wash afterwards which nearly ripped my custom CB mount off...
Fixed that.
Made plans for the CB install and Subwoofer install.

Is that what people usually do, just remove the factory fender liners and trim the bumper? I'm looking at doing the same but didn't know if I should trim the fender liner back a bit or remove completely...

Wj Finally running

Took a while, but I got the new 4.0 installed. Added an extra 18 inch radiator fan. She was heating up in traffic. The old 4.0 gave out 20 miles from home.(could be worse) When we pulled the oil pan off, there were pieces of two pistons everywhere, not pretty. Bought the new crate eng from Rock auto in TX. It got here 2 days after I ordered it. Nice. Purrs like a kitten. Still has no B#77$ but it runs. Also needed a new coil rail. The old one was only firing 4 cyl.
Now! More HID lights!!

I trimmed the liners originally. However the issues I had is that it made the liners more flimsy and they would flap going down the freeway. The back part of the liner closest to the door would catch the tire at freeway speeds and wrap around it.

My plan is to cover the wheel well opening with rubberized undercoating and re-purpose some of the old liner to cover the gap back by the door and up front by the headlight. My biggest concern about those areas is them getting packed with snow/salt during the winter.

Stopped at a gas station today to fill up (before the prices jumped up) and as I got out, the guy next to me said "You planning to go to war in that Mother F'er? That thing looks Bad A$$!" Of course I liked hearing that...

Yesterday I got a Jeep Wave from a lifted JK.

I must be doing something right

Filled up from virtually dry today....the range on the evic had read zero for about 25 miles....a risky thing to do on a diesel that is not self bleeding (unless you are lucky!). Cost me £109! So I went for a lie down in a darkened room to recover...and whilst I was there I realised that was more that I paid for my first car! I'm either getting real old or I had some real crap cars back in the day!.....probably both!

^^^Wow man, how many liters did you Get back in, mine is usually about 65l when the low fuel Chime/lamp goes on, but WJ's have 75 or 78l gastank.

On topic, ordered some 17" Black wheels and 255/65/17 GG AT2 tires for the Girly Jeep.

Exactly 80 litres according to my receipt....in a 78 tank! But I don't think the quoted capacity includes the filler neck and I filled it to the very top...in fact a little came out as is screwed the cap on! Proved I would not have got much further though!
