No I have a 3' firestik to use then but I use the whip for normal driving because It picks up further away and I can still park in my garage with it pulled down which I can't do with the firestik.

I'm not going to take off the cladding. I'm going to try to paint it still on the Jeep. I will take the front and rear bumper covers off.

found a 5-set of these for dirt cheap at a dealership brand new. They'll be going on once I get a new set of tire pressure sensors.

Yup. Have wheeled 102" steelie for over 30 years without an incident or accident to people or Jeep. And the trees and brush were thick and heavy in SC, NC, OH and a few other places I have lived. Not so much in AZ.

People say it could whip a person. But in reality if your within 5ft of my jeep that is wheeling fast enough to whip it into someone there way too close to get hit by other crap too. When 90% of the wheeling is 5mph or less it just slides off and more or less stands straight up or catches another branch.

Also it has never whipped the jeep itself. Whether it was on my CJ, YJ, XJ, MJ or the WJ.

Although I have whipped tree limbs into people that were to close.

Dave, I know this is a lot to ask, but do you possibly have an open side yard for a couple weeks? Since you're in the area and someone I trust, I figured it would be worth asking. My HOA won't allow my vehicle to be at my place and I've over stayed my welcome at my friends house. I'm this close to having an engine to put in, but was told my jeep needed to be out of their yard by the end of July (they gave me a month). I've called around and I'm running out of ideas but am putting it on a trailer tomorrow morning :/ PM me if you can, and I understand if this is a big fat no, but I don't have a whole lot of choices so I'm getting desperate.

Freshened up the front end on the wife's WJ yesterday. New adjustable upper and lower CA's, and an alignment. Drives great, and the aftermarket OE style arms that we've had for only a couple of years already showed considerable wear in the bushings. The lowers were completely thrashed, 3 of the 4 bushings were nearly torn all the way through.

The uppers were ok, but one of the sleeves was almost separated from the upper bushing. The axle side bushings I replaced a few years ago looked to be in good shape still.

Need to trim the bumper cover a little bit more tonight and center the steering wheel.
