Finally got it lifted, and got the new rubber on. 3" IRO + 10mm OME spacers all around, Bilsteins, new isolators, and 265-75-16 Goodyear Wranglers.

Thanks. I've only had it on less than a week, but the ride quality is great. I can see the draw for the adco rear sway bar - she sways a bit. Probably just take some getting used to. I'm hesitant to put on the adco due to the tearing out of the rear frame/unibody mounts I've seen. I'll drive it like this for a while and see if it bugs me enough to do anything. Pete

Yes, installed it all myself, in the driveway. It came apart pretty easily for a New England Jeep at 9 years old. The drag link didn't want to turn, to adjust to center the wheel, when I was done, but an overnight soaking in penetrating oil and a pipe wrench got it to free up.

The driver-side uppper shock bolt under the hood is fun -- there's no access room for a wrench, and the shaft of the shock wants to spin when you turn the nut....

I did use a spring compressor to get the new springs in. Maybe if the Jeep were jacked up higher it would have worked without one, but with what jacks I had to work with I did what I could.

Took me all day to get it installed. Also did a Moog Trail Boss steering stabilizer.

Good luck
Pete

Thanks. I like the Rola a lot. It's a nice rugged rack. I was not a fan of the Rola mounting hardware, though, or the stock crossbars with their plastic ends. I replaced the crossbars with unistrut, and the Rack is so much more secure now. I can grab the rack and shake the Jeep back and forth.

Info on that is in my build thread.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f197/...build-1473764/

Soon I'll be putting the tire up top, and making an air compressor / tool storage area out of the tire well.

Thanks man for your build thread. I was looking for a better way to fix that rack to my roof. I'm not feeling their mounting hardware either. Enjoy the new lift.
