Hah that's crazy how similar they are. They will be even more similar when I get my black 04 Laredo lights in and some rock rails as well as Fawkes shackle tabs!

EDIT: reading your build thread. You even have the Plasti-dip chrome delete, too.

Scavenged the junkyards today to see if there were any goodies.

Managed to score three working auto dim rear view mirrors.

Also found out that the Laredo power seats in the WJ use the same power seat switches as the Limited ZJ's. Snagged a couple to replace the partially functioning ones in the WJ. Unfortunately only one was fully functioning so I need to take it back and swap it for another one.

Installed Overland Rock Rails on my '01 WJ Laredo today. LOVING IT! Was going for the Freedom Edition rails, but their reputation for rotting out from the inside threw me off. Then I heard the Overland's are functional. So, I picked them up, welded up a few spots painted and installed them. I think they look great!

(Yesterday & Today)

Oil Change, Replaced Tranny filter (pan drop only), & Replaced fuel filter.

I had waited for the 4 day pass so that I could have time to take out my headlights, take them apart and paint them; then reverse the process. I think it turned out pretty well although I will probably still put some tint film on them just to protect the lenses from further scratches.

Not quite brand new lights but, it will work for me for now

Yesterday I rented a carpet cleaning machine w/ upholstery attachments from Home Depot along w/ a gallon of Resolve spot remover. I pre-soaked everything inside of the WJ w/ a spray bottle of the cleaner then went at it with the machine. It took 4 complete passes over the entire interior ( including the head liner) before the water in the nozzle came out clean.. god damn cigarette smokers.

Now the WJ smells nice and clean inside along with just looking nice and fresh.

Awesome! I was thinking of doing this to mine too and glad to hear it was successful.

I want to do this, but I'm curious how you go about drying the carpet?

Be careful when washing the headliner, you don't want to loosen the glue and have it start falling apart.
