When there's a torrential downpour and the sky is black, I am very thankful for all 600w of lighting on my xj. It really cuts through well when the factory headlamp bulbs and cheap wiring would leave you in lack of adequate lighting.

But that still falls into the 1% area. Trust me I love light and they look bad ***. But at some point it becomes excessive.

I have never night raced in the desert so I have no experience with this, but I would think it would be one of the few legitimate uses for these lights.

also why i have my HIDs so i dont have to use my highbeams 24/7

You can't see at night and lights from other vehicles bother you, but you don't have a problem blinding the drivers of on coming vehicles?

when me and a buddy had lights on our jeeps we ran them on separate circuits. the lead jeep had all 4 on. the following jeep only had the outside 2 on. the inside 2 are pointed straight ahead and the outside 2 are pointed about 30-40* from center

I have had my lightbar for like 2 weeks and I use it all the time! Not just for photos... used it 4 a few midnight snowboarding sessions, a late night b-ball session, a bunch on backcountry roads to get to and from places to ride, and I'm sure Il use it a ton on my upcoming trip out west... Think what you want but I bought mine to USE it, not for poser photos...

Not today, but I pulled a 04 Chevy on 46" military tires out of a hole this past weekend, and felt quite victorious out of the whole deal lol, here's a pic for proof
