Wife took it to work where it was snowing out. When she got home we went to breakfast. Been in the driveway since.

Trying to get the wj a new front ds for its growth spurt but have no idea what to measure. I looked at their website and am still confused. Are there uniform lenghts for certain wj models or is each unique? Can anyone show me what I need to measure?

I measure between where the U-joint seats on each yoke @ ride height and thats always been sufficient whenever I've called up Tom Woods to get a new shaft on any of my rigs.

Best done after you have the lift on with the weight on the suspension. You could do some trig to get close if you can't have downtime, but its best to order after the lift is on.

If you knew the price of an Akebono upgrade in the UK it would make you weep. The UK is the rip off capital of the world.

Thank you for the advice. What are the consequences of riding with the stock shaft with a lift on? I'm not gonna be trail riding yet.

Not too bad really.... you can get the recon front Akebono calIpers for about £80 each , front discs for about £40 the pair and front pads for about £20. So about £220 all in...... not to bad when you subtract the cost of buying new pads and discs every 10,000 miles for those crappy Teves things! Recently helped a mate do his on the front of his V8. eBay is your friend....sometimes!
