stared at it parked next to the 79 bronco i have in the junk yard and contemplated putting the rear 9", front hp44, and 33x12.5 r15's from the bronco under my wj. Too much time and money i dont have to spend though

Started my 72,000mi service today - diffs, oil, and upper balljoints. Never done diffs before, it was a learning experience. Getting the oil back in is such a bear! I even got a funnel with a tube (and an open/shut valve, kinda cool...), but the tube was too short, and even after finding a spot to hold the darn thing (above the A-arm in the back, near steering box in the front; both times the Jeep was partially off the ground) it took FOREVER for the oil to go into the diff. So long in fact, I didn't have a chance to do the engine oil and upper balljoints before nightfall. Hopefully I did the RTV right...

We'll find out in the morning...

PS: that diff oil sure smells funky... And costs a BUNCH!

Suggest going to autoparts store and getting a quart pump or a fluid transfer pump. They take a little more time to transfer the fluid but are loads easier. The quart pump screws on top of the diff fluid bottle and pumps like handsoap bottles and the fluid transfer pumps are cool too. The transfer pumps are either manual with plunger style or if you spend some money you can get the one that hooks up to a power drill = cool!

Both of my rear manifold bolts broke on the drivers side. its the ones with the funny spacers that seem to be breaking the most. i took the whole manifold off. redid the gasket. ALL of the manifold bolts are brand new and my Y pipe bolts are all brand new and it took less than 3 hours. Make sure you have a 10mm and 13mm swivel ratchet wrenches or the job is going to be a bear!

Yesterday: Put on my Cragars w/31x10.5 Good Year Authority's
Today: Got a front end alignment, trimmed the front bumper, pulled the back bumper off and installed the factory tow hitch. Also picked up a hitch receiver shackle and a tow strap for recovery.

Tomorrow: paint front/rear bumpers and side cladding black!

RS5000 Shocks in all corners, and new drag link ends. The ones in there were just about falling apart.

Started on my swing down tire carrier. Recieved the curt tire carrier. put it on my wj to see what I need to do to get it how I like it... needs to go up, and closer to the jeep. and needs to swing down... time to start fabbin.
Also thinking of incorperating my high lift jack on there some how. It might go on the roof though... thoughts?

My WJ looks small compared to my buddys fire truck rock crawler project.....
Sorry if the 3rd pic is off topic. just sharing another pic of the wj lol

washed it then left the sprinkler underneath all afternoon to clean the mud out from gulches yesterday. All the washing was worth it though.
