Found out I got hit when I was parked on the street this last weekend, so I drove to Wichita last night and picked up a bumper from a forum member.

Just got my bid axcepted from seller on a Skiguard 850 skibox, Guy asked for 4000kr, got it for 2700kr, new around here they cost 7-9000kr.
The box is wide (88cm), slim height (31cm), and sitting tight/close to roof, cause cross bars goes thrue the box not under with box sitting ontop.
Its perfect for 4 snowboards, and/or some cargo.
Think i got a great steal, its dark Green metalic, maybe not a perfect color match, but Will look ok anyway

Walked past it on the way to class. (hardly drive it since I'm in college).

Can't wait for winter break to start in a couple days. Then all we need is some good snowfall and I'll be driving it everyday.

New thermostat for mine today. I was surprised how easy it was to swap on the 4.0. Less than a hour to swap it, let it heat up, top off the coolant and check for leaks.

Tossed onto the interwebs via iPhone

What kind of wet sandpaper did you use? Did you use a courser one to start and go to a finer and finer paper? Or what? I have a set I'd dearly love to bring back to life.

Thanks

Thanks
Started with 800 grit wet sand paper. Did that til it felt smooth, then switched to 1000 grit wet sand paper. Smoothed it out nicely. I dried them, cleaned them with Stoners Invisible Glass, then sprayed 3 coats of clear. Haven't been home since, but will be Friday night. I'll probably just need to buff them out and install Saturday.

My HIDs should be there by the time I get home too, so I'll be havin fun Saturday installing new headlights and my HIDs. Can't wait!

How did you paint them black? After I install my freshly restored Laredo headlights, I'll have my Limited headlights to play with. I'd be interested in doing the same to mine as you did.

I heatened the headlight in the oven (220F) for about 5min and opened them:

then started with 800 grit wet sand paper. sprayed two coats of high temp flat black and let it dry a day. then put it all back together and put the headlight back in the oven again for about 5mins. that way the glue will hold/stick the parts together. just make sure the glass is back in its position on the back-half. if needed just put some more silicon or something to seal the headlights.

will post some installed pics soon!
