My brother in law has a 10k on his TJ. He ordered a 8k steel line and they sent a 10k synthetic in the box. His is Jeep is only off road once a month and we have used the winch several times to pull people out. Just for practice, and teach him how to use it. I have been really impressed by the rugged ridge. Still not convinced enough to put one on my WJ, but I'll use mine a lot more.

finally got around to changing the front plastic piece that houses the head lights. broke almost all the mounting points when my bumber got ripped off. in the process found anonther dry rotted vacuum line. tell you what 30 degree weather sucks to work in. especially if you cut your finger on something unknowingly, liek i did. front of the jeep looks like something from a murder seen when i finally realized i was bleeding.

I did NOTHING!!!! Because FEDEX SUCKS!!!!!!! IRO Sent out my long arm kit in two boxes because of weight. Fedex pick up both the boxes on the same day. Only one showed up today. Fedex says they do not know when I will get the second one due to weather problems.

my buddy needed some huge stumps removed from his girlfriends yard.. so he called me after i was done class and i tested out my hitch and shackle ..so we tied them onto my cheapo walmart tow strap and pulled them down the street

the tree stumps were already dug out by a backhoe and he couldn't pull them with his quad

the end result .. i need to get a new strap since it was drug down the street it got all chewed up

anyone have suggestions on a good recovery strap??

I got mine from Tractor Supply Company. Recover strap rated for 16000 lbs and breaking point at 36000 lbs. Paid $50 for it. 3" wide and 25' with the hoops on both ends.
Back on topic, watched my wallet get smaller again today. Filled it up with gas.

Cursed my electrical system for drawing 160mA at rest. It's funny cause it can fight all it wants but with the battery disconnected it can't do anything that would further piss me off until I can diagnose the abnormal draw by: ( the radio, the gauge cluster, and something on fuse 7
