weak azc blower

i'm having the weak blower issue after replacing the resistor with the upgrade. i've read some previous posts and i can't imagine it's the recirc door. everything was working great until my one pin on the the resistor board burned, even then it would work intermittently with the connector rigged to the right position.

i replaced the blower motor resistor with the upgraded one and harness wiring upgrade kit with updated part numbers 5179985AA and 68052436AA and now i'm having the extremely weak blower issue. the only other thing being discussed that i saw was crossed wiring at the blower motor. i have the main harness wired correctly and the blower harness came with connectors on both ends and appear to only be able to connect one way. anyone know? or could the blower harness from the factory be crossed? any way to test this issue?
