Vibration..really bad

Well time to fix the vibration in my wj for good... I have the IRO single double driveshaft in my wj and all other info in sig..

Doesn't matter what adjustment I set the castor to vibration never goes away...been there from day one, its not just a simple hum but it vibrates like crazy especially when on sitting on the highway. But only there when I'm on the gas, if I release it its practically not there, so quite...

Should also add when in low range I hear click click click click the faster I go the clicker it gets. sounds like every rotation it clicks...

Ideas anyone?

Thanks

Is the pinion pointing at the driveshaft? And the double cardan end is on the T-case, correct?

Forget the caster; only cure for bad vibes is to put the pinion angle right.
Mines about 2 deg off right now and I get an ever so slight very minor hum at 85 or so.
I'll be rotating the C's soon to put it all right.

How old are the ujoints?

Are you positive the driveline vibrations are sourced from the front, and not the rear, or a combination of front & rear? At 8" lift, you really need to be thinkin SYE, if you don't have one already.

Driveshaft is on correct, this has been an issue from day one... All vibrations are from the front, all disappear when driveshaft is removed... Would I need a double double?

Suggesting its your TC that's causing it.. does it sound roaring or growly when in gear?

GRAND_WJ 05-14-2013 03:32 AM

It sounds really roaring/growling and shift loads of vibrations... How do you know for sure?

Oh yea should also add (ill add to original post) when in low range I hear click click click click the faster I go the clicker it gets sounds like every rotation it clicks

Did you grease the u-joints when you installed it?
And again, what is the pinion angle?

GRAND_WJ 05-14-2013 03:54 AM

Yep greased it up and still grease it up every 6 months.. Couldn't say what the pinion is now as I've played with it so much basically gone from one end and in increments of 1mm right though to the opposite end..

GRAND_WJ 05-14-2013 03:55 AM

Ill get the old pinion angle tool out next time I get a chance and ill post it up

Should be pointing straight in line with the driveshaft. Anything else will give you vibes.

Grab the pinion yoke and check for play while you are there.
