vibration. front driveshaft?

i just replaced my front driveshaft about 3 weeks ago and ever since then i have had a pretty bad vibration above 60 mph. just to be clear, it is ONLY above 60 mph and if im over it and drop back down to 55 it goes away. i feel it in the seat and in the steering wheel. i put 4 wheel drive in neutral and the transmission and tried to turn the front driveshaft and it was locked. it also has some play in it when i shake it. also my 4 wheel drive part time light is on and a mechanic told me i was driving around in 4 part time but the stick is engaged in 2 wheel drive. any ideas on what this could be?

not sure what the bolt-up pattern on the shaft you just installed, but see if you can unbolt it, rotate it 90 degrees, and bolt it back up. It could just be a matter of harmonics.

If that doesn't work, and intent on keeping that shaft, yank it off and let a local machine/drive shaft shop check its balance. Shouldn't cost more than 15-20 bucks.
