under dash courtesy light bulbs

Hey guys,

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I recently bought replacement bulbs for for the under dash courtesty lights. However, after installing them they ran really really hot. I noticed onJeep Grand Cherokee WJ - lamps and lighting specifications that the bulbs are 906 with 8.97 watts. After a little I noticed that the bulbs I received were actually 921 18 watt bulbs. On the website, it said that they could replace the existing ones. Obviously not.

So my question is...where could I buy 906 8.97w bulbs. I've done some searching but haven't found much. I'd preferably like them in a color (such as blue). Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm curious to know if those work or not as I'd like to replace mine as well. Is this as simple as pull the old bulbs and replace them? I'd like to know how it goes. Unfortunatley, I have no idea if those will work or not so I can't help you.

Not yet. The shipping is taking longer than I thought it would. I should be getting them soon though. I'll post the results.
