Transmission slipping after p0700 p0704 codes

Hey I posted this in the engine and drivetrain section and got nothing yet and really need some help asap if possible so I'm trying it here, I searched and didn't find an answer,... Hey guys I'm new to the forum, this is my first post even tho ive been reading on here for a while now...i just recently bought a 2004 grand cherokee limited quadradrive with the 4.7ho, after driving a few days everything was fine until my check engine light came on and threw codes p0700 and (p0740 or p0704 can't remember but it was something with the torque converter, the jeep drove perfect and shifted perfect with the codes lit but i brought it back to the dealership or them to fix it anyway because it wasn't costing me anything. i picked it up today they said they replaced my torque convertor and i drove it home everything was ok trans shifted fine as soon as i got home 1 1/2 hours later (sat in traffic) my trans started slipping bad and i could smell what i think was tranny fluid, nothing leaking underneath but level was high when i checked it hot, called dealer they were closed so left a message for them to call my 1st thing in the morning. would the wrong fluid or over filling cause slippage that quick? any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance! Sorry for the long post
*it slips from a stop into first and 1st into 2nd, I didn't drive it into 3rd, then it slipped in reverse when I parked it*

They might have put the wrong tranny fluid into it...I'd get it checked by a mechanic not associated with the dealer you bought it from and if you find that is the case then you've got grounds for them to either fix it or get your money back.

I had something similar when I got mine and they replaced the TC but I haven't had any issues with it since then. Good luck.

I called and they told me they used the right fluid, I've since drained it to the right level and it hasn't slipped yet and this was 4 days ago so I hope it was just overfilled, thanks for the reply
