So I thought I would spoil the WJ today and give her a deep cleaning. Left the car wash and got a check engine light p0121. Didn't think washing the motor would do anything like kill a tps, but i guess so.
Have any of you guys had this happen?
What price have you paid for a Mopar tps?
Thanks guys!

everyone says mopar.. you can spend that much $ for a 1 yr warranty...
or you can go to autozone, give them 40 bucks, and if it fails get it replaced anytime since they have a lifetime warranty... mine's been working fine for the past year

$30 is a steal tho!
I just can't believe that water takes these sensors out.

Unless you popped your hood and sprayed the high pressure water directly on the engine/electronics, I think it's more coincidence...
Now if you did do that.. don't do it again...

Ya, when I got home I even pulled the throttle body expecting to find some water in or around the sensors and connectors, but nothing.

Well I had to fix it quickly so the wife could drive it. $90 from the stealership and that's after talking them down from $115.
boomersoonerGC, the new ones from Mopar are the same as the the ones in the link, these new ones are revised versions, thats why they are just a little differently shaped and colored.

Yup. Order one then return it to the dealership for the refund.

If you want it fixed once and for all, buy a Mopar TPS. Some people have good luck with autozone replacements, but other don't..no telling if it will last 2 day or 2 months or 2 years. These Jeeps are picky when it comes to parts. My dealership wanted $130, but I got mine through Kolak for like $80. Kolak is your man for all Mopar parts.
