Well I have 310K on my '99 4.7 all axles and tranny still intact no major repairs, and to be honest I suck at doing maint on time. and now my son has it at college and well, yea
and Mileage 20 in the summer with the lift 18 in the winter, it hated winter blend. before the lift 22-23 on the highway loaded

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up going with a 2000 xj. 180k miles and its in great shape.

Good luck.

As I said I would drive it around for a while and fix anything that may turn out to be wrong with it before doing any costly upgrades.

Current repairs needed:
AT filter and fluid

The power windows and locks were buggy when I bought, now 2 days later the A/C is no longer cold. I'm hoping these are just common old XJ problems that I should have been expecting..
