Just wondering what tires i should get for a Jeep Grand wj 2002..No lift from what i can see. Just looking for the biggest tire. Kinda looking for something meaty. maybe like an all terrain. Live on long island and i go on the beach. There snow rain ect so i guess all terrain would be best.

With no lift, your safest bets for no rub are 245/70-16 or 245/65-17. If you get a different size from what you have now, it is pretty important that you get a set of 5 so that your spare is actually usable. A mis-matched spare can cause damage to the 4WD system in WJs. The 16" tire size is a lot easier to find aggressive, truck-appropriate tires.
Look for a tire branded with the Mountain/Snowflake symbol. This indicates tested/proven snow performance. Those missing the symbol are not going be awful in snow per se, just that those with it are better.
Personal recommendations: Firestone Destination AT, General Grabber AT2, Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. Unfortunately the ever-popular Duratrac is not available in a stock size. The Hankook ATM RF10 is a popular tire right now (and cheap) but it is not snow-rated and I found the sidewalls to be too soft. They felt squishy on my friend's LR Discovery and he got rid of them after only a week. But a lot of people like them, so they might be worth checking into.

15" will likely have problems clearing the rotors I believe. Either way, you can't stray much from that 29.5-30 inch diameter. hunt on tire rack and read the FAQ's

I run 245/70R16 Summit TrailClimber A/W's. I have been VERY happy with them, especially for the price. (I paid 628 for all 4, mounted, balanced, plus lifetime warranty from a local tire shop)

Yokohama Geolandar A/T is a great tire. I have about 50,000 miles on mine and haven't even rotated them yet and they are wearing perfectly. I keep thinking about rotating them but they are wearing so well, I havent seen the need.

Not a reall AT, but the goodyear duratrac are a great tire and have an aggresive look. They are one of the best snow/ice tires on the market and do pretty well in all other conditions.
