A bad chain would pop really loudly and cause loss of traction in the front. It would ONLY happen in 4 part time. Never in 2wd. Something else is wrong.

From your description I would start in the rear differential. If you don't find chunks of metal in there I'd investigate the direct drive clutch pack/snap ring and overdrive unit.

The chain will never cause a shudder or noise other than a gentle ticking or slapping sound in 2wd.

Are you sure that it isnt caused by worn chain? Then I will not buy it. Some people said that chain is active both in 2wd and 4wd, and chain would be first thing what they would check. I'm so confused right now :S

can anyone tell me how to check u-joints? Put transmission into N and what then? In my case there is a little play, is it ok? Or it must be fixed always?

Leave it in park. There should be a small amount of rotational play if your tires are off the ground while in park. There should be 0 play in the direction of the journals. Up/down, left/right. Any play at all is bad in those directions.
Joints would have to be rusted nearly solid or falling out bad to be the cause of a big enough shudder to be confused with a popping tcase chain. Unless the people trying to help you are more retarded than it first seems.

How many times can we say it? The chain is only along for the ride in 2wd. It will NEVER cause an issue in 2wd like you are describing.

I'm asking that because I have been reading this forum and found many similar problems, and always vibration was caused by transmission/engine mounts or bad u-joints. In PARK there is small rotational play, and when I move vehicle few centimeters (with transmission in P), then driveshaft is fixed and there isnt any play.

Do you know maybe what can cause my problems? How to check mounts? There is alot of questions, but....
