Steering box pitman arm seal

Well my steering box decided to blow out the seal at the pitman arm and is leaking a pretty good amount of fluid. The power steering works fine at the moment. Can I just replace the seal? Or should I replace the box to prevent future problems?

As long as there is no slack in the bearing inside the box you should be fine just to replace the seal. It is a pain to change but its a lot cheaper then a new box. Some boxes you two seals in there.

Here are a few pics of the suspected area, the pitman arm is wet but the hoses next to it might be the culprit too. What are the hoses?

You basically have to fully diassemble the box to do those seals. Should be three in a stack.
