spyder v3's and hid

Ok guys, I have some spyder v3 projectors with ccfl halo's installed on my jeep. I also have a ddm tuning 55watt 5000k hid kit installed also. I am wondering if these headlights are made for hid kits? One thing that I noticed is that the cutoff point almost has like a purple blue line to it. Is that normal or do I need to swap out the projectors in these headlight housings?

They are not designed for HIDs. They are halogen projectors as you can tell by the hot spots they produce.

You would have to retrofit for actual HID projectors. Retrofitsourcd is a good place. Google it. Morimoto mini are easy cheap and great!

The headlights in question fit the OEM bulb
Get HIDs that fit the OEM bulb size
they are plug and play. If you want them to last a long time, perhaps invest in a HID wiring harness so the ballasts get consistant voltage and die out prematurely.

I already have a DDM tuning HID kit with the spyder v3 headlight assemblies. What I am curious about is the installation of the Morimoto mini?
