Just got my $100 factory rebate check in the mail from Bushwacker not bad considering I just sent it in early last week.

I'm going to call Bushwacker to confirm but I don't see any difference. What I can't figure out is why the jobber cost is lower to buy them separately vs. together. Should be the other way around.

i don't think anyone understands it, even the salesman at 4wd thought it was odd, and apologies to you kolak, but $400 for a set is a price i couldn't pass up, just too bad i have to wait so long to get them

I looked at the 4wheelparts web site and I see they put the price up so the fronts and rears as separate items are no longer cheaper than the full kit.

Well that kills the comparative advantage. And our savings.

Perhaps it ruins _your_ advantage, but 4wheelparts and 4wd was losing money due to their pricing error. I don't assume you want businesses to lose money or they won't be around to provide products to you.

One item on sale wont bankript the two companies you mentioned or you. The two companies listed above have a large mark up on their products to be able profit after paying their large overhead expenses.

Im not arguing that what you did was wrong but they shoulda figure it on their own though.

I guess this makes your prices lower than the rest, right?

I'm sure they could weather the loss but their profit in any item is actually quite small given their huge overhead in running a business like theirs. One should not take advantage of their error.

That said, your assumption that I reported the error is incorrect. I merely called my rep and asked why it was cheaper to buy them separately vs as a kit. I wanted to check and see if the kits included all the hardware when purchased separately He said it was indeed an error in pricing, and that they were in the process of fixing it on the retail web site.

Mine showed up today too! I couldn't help myself, I had to open the boxes and start getting ready for the install (hopefully) this weekend, wife permitting

Played with paint; extended ends of bumper, moved fog lights in towards center..

Not sure I can replicate in the real world but I plan to try!
