Slow pick up coming from stop 00 WJ

Hey guys,

Test drove a WJ today and was just curious if they have a slower pick up time when you get on the gas from a stop. Felt like it was a little delayed. It had the QuadraTrac-1 so it has that automatic 2wd to 4wd would that have anything to do with it?

The truck is an 00 with a 6 cyl straight engine

I just wanna make sure it isn't a transmission issue, didn't really feel like a slip just a lag.

Cheers

Like starting in third gear lag, or big heavy vehicle with low first gearing lag?

More of the latter... idk it might just be normal for this car. I'm used to the Liberty where the truck jumps when you sneeze on the pedal
